Toby Roland-Jones had keyhole surgery on the patellar tendinopothy in his right knee yesterday afternoon. He has suffered long-standing pain due to this problem which has caused him to miss a number of matches over the last couple of years. The surgery was conducted by a world-renowned surgeon from Sweden, who has a very high success rate working on professional athletes from various sports, including cricket.
There is a fast rehabilitation programme following this type of surgery, so Toby should be able to start training in a week’s time and then is expected to be fully fit to bowl in six to eight weeks.
Everyone at the club wishes Toby a speedy recovery!
