Middlesex 2s v Afghanistan: T20 Friendly

Middlesex 2nd XI are in action today in a Twenty20 Friendly against Afghanistan at Radlett CC.

There are some internet issues today, so the live scoring will be intermittent. We will therefore bring you regular updates here and on Twitter and Facebook.

Dawid Malan is back in action following his groin strain and will captain the side.

The Middlesex team is as follows: 

Dawid Malan (captain), Nick Gubbins, Neil Dexter, Andy Balbirnie, Ryan Higgins, Stephen Eskinazi (wk), Max Holden, Cameron Steel, Nathan Sowter, Harry Podmore, Ravi Patel, Gurjit Sandhu.

Play is due to start at midday and it's free entry for all spectators.

Middlesex have won the toss and elected to bat first.

Middx 2s going well on 79-1 after 10 overs with Malan 35* & Dexter 1*. Gubbins was the wicket to fall for 38.

Middlesex 2s have reached 160-3 off their 20 overs including a brilliant 93* from Dawid Malan, who carried his bat throughout the innings!
