over 8 years ago | Uncategorised

ECB have today announced the clubs who have been awarded franchises for the inaugural Women’s Super League, starting later this year.

Middlesex’s joint bid with MCC, to host one of the franchises, proved unsuccessful.

Richard Goatley, Middlesex CCC’s Chief Executive said:

“We are naturally disappointed that our joint bid has ultimately proved unsuccessful, however we would like to offer our congratulations to each of the clubs who have been successful in the bidding process.

"We have no doubt that the competition will prove to be a huge success and we wish the ECB well in the competition’s inaugural year.

"Middlesex’s commitment to women’s cricket remains unwavering and we look forward to them building on the progress they have made in recent years.”
