DAY 3 CLOSE: MATCH DRAWN
Unfortunately it has started raining down at the Kia Oval and play has been abandoned for the day with no play possible after lunch. It's been a good few days of middle practice for the squad and they will be back in action next Wednesday 30 March in their pre-season friendly against Northants at Merchant Taylors' School.

DAY 3 LUNCH: SURREY 250-9d & 143-2d; MIDDLESEX 263-3
After declaring on our overnight score of 263-3, leading by 13 runs, each side has been given a maximum of 32 overs to bat on the third and final day of this pre-season friendly.
At lunch down at the Kia Oval Surrey have reached 143-2 off their 32 overs this morning, with Harinath 66* and Burke 21*. Toby Roland-Jones picked up the first wicket, trapping Sibley lbw for 25 and Harry Podmore took the other, having Davies caught by Franklin for 19. Middlesex will now have 32 overs to bat after the lunch break.
