over 7 years ago | Uncategorised

Following the recent presentation of Middlesex's Outstanding Services to Cricket Awards at Lord's, the ECB have announced that three Middlesex award winners have been put through to compete in the national award finals taking place at Lord's on 4th October.

The national awards sees selected winners from counties all over England taking part, with one regional winner being ultimately crowed the national award winner in each category.

In previous years this national event has seen past and present male and female England players presenting awards to the worthy national winners, and with three Middlesex winners shortlisted this year, the event will see a record number of entrants from our county.

Congratulations from everyone at Middlesex goes to the three Middlesex winners to have been shortlisted and we wish you every success at the national awards ceremony. Good luck!

The three award winners in question are as follows...

Adam Wilson, Brondesbury CC – Shortlisted for the National CricketForce Award

Adam was the driving force behind Brondesbury CC’s CricketForce showcase in 2016, and without his dedicated project management and effortless leadership the event wouldn’t have been such a success, with the club’s ageing facilities overhauled inside and out.

Cathy Mowat, Women’s Cricket Southern League Secretary – Shortlisted for the Leagues Award

Cathy’s involvement in women’s cricket as a player, administrator and volunteer has spanned over 40 years and with constant energy and enthusiasm she has always provided an all-important voice for women’s cricket, playing a vital role in the setup of the Women’s Cricket Southern League, which is the strongest women’s league in the country.

Hinay Dassani, Twickenham CC – Shortlisted for the Get the Game on Award

Hinay selflessly took on the role of Twickenham 5XI captain in 2010 and has worked tirelessly to ensure games are never conceded due to a lack of players. A dedicated club member, he is always looking to recruit new players and is the first to be relied on to assist other club captains.
