over 6 years ago | Uncategorised

Middlesex Cricket is delighted to announce that Max Holden has signed an extended contract with the club that will see him playing at Lord’s until at least the end of the 2020 season.

England Under 19 Captain Holden, 19, spent a large part of this summer on loan with Northamptonshire, where he made nine County Championship appearances, hitting his maiden first-class hundred in June against Durham and a career high 153 against Kent the following month. He returned to Middlesex towards the end of the season to make his first-class debut for the club against Hampshire at Uxbridge in September.

Angus Fraser, Middlesex Cricket’s Managing Director of Cricket, commented…

“We have always believed that Max is one of the most exciting young cricketers in the country and in 2017 he gave everyone a glimpse of what he is capable of producing.

“The loan to Northants was productive for everyone and it gave him his first taste of first-class cricket.

“Max is very much at the forefront of our plans moving forward and we are delighted he has extended his current deal with Middlesex Cricket”.

On signing his new contract Max Holden commented…

“I’m delighted to have extended my contract with Middlesex for a further year.

“I’ve been at the club since the age of eleven and it’s always my dream to represent the county.

“Signing a long-term deal with Middlesex is very satisfying and I’m really looking forward to helping the club win trophies over the coming years.”
