If so, why don't you apply to be part of the Middlesex Cricket/Middlesex in The Community Young Persons' Cricket Panel for 2024/2025?

We launched our MCCC Young Persons' Panel in 2023 with the attendance of the Children’s Commissioner, Dame Rachel De Souza.
We are now extending the panel to include both Middlesex Cricket and Middlesex in The Community (MiTC).
The Young Persons' Panel Chair is Dia Nair (Middlesex Women’s Youth Player of the year in 2023).
We are looking for volunteers for the MCCC/MiTC Young Persons’ Cricket Panel for 2024/25.
If you are interested then please answer the following questions with a maximum of 200 words per question:
- Why would I like to be part of the MCCC/MiTC Young Persons’ Cricket Panel?
- Why is the voice of young people important in cricket?
- Please give an example where you have challenged poor behaviour in school/club?
- Which cricket player has inspired you and why?

We are looking for people who are aged between 13 and 19 and are:
- Interested in Diversity
- Interested in Safeguarding
- Enthusiastic about growing audiences and players for Cricket
- Digitally literate
- Want to promote the voice of a child
- Are able to attend four online meetings a year
- Are able to attend one face to face conference at Lord's Cricket Ground
What is the purpose of the Middlesex Cricket/Middlesex in The Community Young Persons' Panel
- To strengthen and diversify governance and leadership for cricket, by training the next generation of leaders and Board members
- To provide a greater range of skills and viewpoints which better reflect the diverse audiences and communities who play cricket
- To ensure effective voice of young people in safeguarding policy and best practise
- To embrace innovative and fresh perspectives and help us to remain relevant
- To provide greater scrutiny and better-informed decision making
- To build help our relationships with our Middlesex CCC/MiTC Communities
- To strengthen the voice of the child in cricket
