In the final day of our 3 day Friendly against Somerset at Taunton Vale, Sam Robson and Ethan Bamber shone with the bat and ball respectively.
Somerset began the final day with an overnight score of 163/4, and in more batsman-friendly conditions were able to push forward strongly in the first session of the day. They went in for Lunch on 292/6, with Ethan Bamber having taken both wickets in the morning session.
By the time their 80 over allocation was finished, Somerset had made 340/9, with Sowter taking 2 and Walallawita taking the other.
Bamber finished with figures of 4-63, whilst Sowter took 3-72 and Walallawita took 2-62.
With a little under 50 overs left to play, Middlesex went back out to bat.
Middlesex were able to go in for Tea on 68/1, with Robson and Eskinazi looking in good stead. Shortly after, Robson went on to reach his 50, coming from 82 deliveries.
After Robson was dismissed for 58, Middlesex shuffled the pack somewhat, giving White, Scott & Helm an opportunity to get some time at the crease before the beginning of the Specsavers County Championship season on Friday.
Middlesex finished the day on 182/5, and the match was called as a draw.
