Middlesex 2s v Glamorgan 2s. Day 1
The track at Radlett looked flat and benign and so it seemed the only way to avoid a long hard day in the field would be to win the toss. We didn't win the toss and the rest was as predicted.
The bowlers though ground away and when we eventually took the tenth wicket with the total on 371 it was at the very parsimonious rate of 3.7.
Having got through our overs quickly it left our openers, Stirling and Gubbins to see out the day which they did with ease and no little aggression with both scoring at better than a run a ball.
