STUMPS DAY 2: MCC YCS 256 & 116; MIDDLESEX 201 & 9-0*
Under overcast skies the Middlesex bowlers looked likely to take the remaining YCs scalps sooner rather than later although were thwarted by the YCs tail, which wagged rather vigorously.
In our first innings we managed 201 in 50 odd overs before capitulating to jagging bowling from the YCs. Sowter the pick with 74, ably assisted by all rounder Martin Andersson (53).
The third innings of the day lasted just over 30 overs as our bowlers ripped through the YCs batting, leaving us chasing around 170 to win with four overs of the day left and all three sessions tomorrow.
It’s not often you see all four innings in one day.
