MIDDLESEX WON BY AN INNINGS & 49 RUNS: SURREY 59 & 173; MIDDLESEX 281
Middlesex made it comfortably through to the Second XI Championship final with an emphatic win by an innings against local rivals Surrey.
After bowling the home side out for less than 60 in fewer overs than the Aussies lasted against England, it always looked on the cards that the lads from Lord's (well Radlett actually) would book their place in the final.
Gurjit Sandhu deserves special mention for his match 10fer as we finished 20 points clear at the top of the South Division.
Our opponents and hence the venue of the final are yet to be decided but the opportunity to add to the national T20 Trophy picked up at Arundel shows the strength in depth at the club.
