Stephen Eskinazi signs two year deal

Middlesex County Cricket Club is delighted to announce that Stephen Eskinazi has signed a two year contract with the club.

Eskinazi, 21, initially joined the club three years ago on a two year summer scholarship contract before signing a full contract for the 2015 season. This new two year agreement will see him remain at Middlesex until at least the end of the 2017 season.

Speaking of Stephen’s new contract, Angus Fraser, Middlesex’s Managing Director of Cricket stated.....

“Stephen thoroughly deserves a new contract.”

“Once again he was our top run scorer in the second eleven and was rewarded for this with a first-class debut at Lord’s against Yorkshire. In the match, as in the Second Eleven Championship final, where he scored a superb hundred against what was a first-class attack, he looked comfortable against high quality bowling, which is a good sign for the future.”

Eskinazi commented.....

“I am delighted to have signed a contract with the club that gave me my first professional opportunity in the game.”

“After an exciting year on the field, I’m looking forward to bigger and better things from both a personal and a club perspective.”

“It was a dream come true to represent the club at first eleven level towards the end of this season and being given that opportunity has only increased my hunger to make the most of the opportunities I get and to achieve plenty of success with the club moving forwards."
