With the Middlesex CCC squad returning to winter training this week after a break for festive celebrations, 2016's pre-season preparations saw them head to the nets in the MCC Indoor School at Lord's yesterday for their first batting session of 2016 at the Home of Cricket.
We caught up with Batting Coach Dave Houghton and talked to him about his plans for the squad as their winter training gathers pace, and although a number of the squad are still overseas, we got plenty of footage of the lads going through their paces in the nets, including Ollie Rayner, Nick Gubbins, James Harris, Harry Podmore, Academy player Tom Lace, George Scott, Toby Roland-Jones and Tim Murtagh.
