The 2s wrapped up victory over Essex's second team in a 111 run win at Radlett. Fuller and Webster took 3 wickets each as Middlesex took the 20 wickets they needed to win the game. Runs for Gough (67) and Beard (80*) were not enough as the Middlesex Seconds started their Championship campaign with a win.
The 2s will play Essex in a T20 tomorrow at Radlett, starting at 10.30.

Essex 2s: 158, Middlesex 2s: 169, Essex need 366 to win.
After losing a couple of early wickets, Ollie Rayner (47) and Steve Eskinazi (52) steadied the batting to extend Middlesex's lead, before a late batting collapse saw the 2s reach 169 all out. Quinn (5 wkts) and Taylor (4 wkts) the pick of the Essex 2 bowlers.
Day 2: Tea
Essex 2s: 158, Middlesex: 39/2, lead by 235 runs.
Middlesex bowled out Essex for 158 with Webster and Fuller ripping through the away team with 3 wickets each. Middlesex currently two down in reply.
Day 2: Lunch
Essex 2s: 107/5, trail by 246 runs.
Early wickets for Webster (2) were supported by Patel, Scott and Rollings in a great morning for the Middlesex 2s.

Middlesex 2nd XI 354/8
The boys are currently on 354/8 after a solid day with the bat in their game against Essex 2s at Radlett. A great innings from Stirling (121) has been supported with knocks from Rayner (73) and handy 30s throughout the team. Fuller remains unbeaten on 37* on the first of the three day game. David Masters was the pick of the bowlers, taking 5-26 for Essex 2s.

Middlesex 2nd XI 247/4
Our second eleven are currently 247/4 in their game against Essex 2s at Radlett. A great innings from Stirling (121) has set the foundations for a big score. Rayner (27*) and Steel (22*) to carry on after Tea.
Day 1, Lunch:
Middlesex 2nd XI 116/1
After being put into bat Middlesex 2nds lost the early wicket of Max Holding when he was trapped in front by David Masters. Since then Steve Eskinazi and Paul Stirling rebuilt the innings and they brought the Middlesex 2's 100 up before lunch. Stirling is currently unbeaten on 68 and Eskinazi on 35.
