Middlesex slipped up in the South Group of the Royal London One-Day Cup when falling to a four wicket defeat to Somerset in Taunton, as the hosts moved to joint top of the table themselves. Batting first, despite half centuries from both Paul Stirling and Nick Gubbins, Middlesex's total of 296 for 9 in their fifty overs always looked a little light, as the hosts proceeded to knock the runs off for the loss of six wickets with an over to spare.
