It took Middlesex 93 minutes to take the final six Cambridge MCCU wickets to wrap up a win by a massive 333 runs over the students.
Resuming on their overnight total of 65-4, Akil Greenidge completed his second fifty of the match in the third over of the day (off 52 balls, 6 fours) but in the following over he got an inside-edge to a Steve Finn delivery and John Simpson took the catch at the wicket, Greenidge having made 52 to go with his first innings score of 65. Poulson joined Guest with the total on 78-5 and the total advanced to 94-5 before Ollie Rayner struck twice in his second over.

Rayner struck again in his next over when he bowled Chapman for a single to leave the MCCU on 98-8. Kartik Suresh joined Guest and the pair took the total to 109-8 before Rayner took his fourth wicket of the morning when Steve Eskinazi took a good catch at short-leg to dismiss Guest for a battling 38 off 92 balls.
