DAY THREE REPORT
MIDDLESEX WON BY 3 WICKETS
Glamorgan Second XI - 213 a/o & 165 a/o
Middlesex Second XI - 195 a/o & 185/7
Going into their second innings with slender lead of just 18 runs, Glamorgan knew that a strong performance was needed in order to claim victory in the Second XI Championship fixture. The hosts got off to a terrible start, as opening batsman Selman was dismissed by Harris for a duck, with the hosts yet to add to their scoreboard. A useful 53 run partnership from Browne and Murphy somewhat eased the pressure, before the latter was caught by Robson off the bowling of Rayner. Two quick Glamorgan wickets then left the hosts on 78/4, before Lawlor was trapped LBW by Rayner. With the hosts on 155/7, three quick wickets fell to reduce Glamorgan to 159/9, as they eventually finished on 165 a/o.
In response, Middlesex got off to a strong start, with Gubbins and Robson putting on a partnership of 66, before the former was caught by Lawlor off the bowling of Carey for 27. Robson was dismissed shortly after by the same man, before a useful 35 run partnership helped the visitors reach 108/3. However, Middlesex soon lost 3 wickets in relatively quick succession as Holden, Rayner and White all fell victim to Glamorgan as Middlesex were reduced to 146/5. Despite this, with wickets in hand Middlesex made sure of the victory, finishing on 185/7 after 33.1 overs and therefore winning the game by 3 wickets.

Middlesex Second XI - 195 a/o
After rain brought play to an early end on Day One, the weather looked a lot better on the second day of the Second XI Championship fixture against Glamorgan.
After starting the day on 102/5, Glamorgan got off to a shaky start when play resumed, losing 3 wickets with just 11 runs added to the scoreboard, with Bamber (2) and Harris (1) collecting the wickets. A superb 72 run partnership from Carey and T Cullen steadied the innings for the hosts, before the former was caught by Gubbins off the bowling of Rayner for 39. Cullen soon fell himself as, with Rayner again the man to take the wicket, this time caught by Lace for 69, as Glamorgan were bowled out for 213.

Despite this, a superb 82 run partnership from Lace and White settled the nerves as Middlesex moved to 113/5. However, both batsmen were soon dismissed by Szymanski

DAY ONE REPORT
Glamorgan Second XI - 102 for 5
On a dreary day at Merchant Taylor's School Middlesex Second Eleven Captain Sam Robson won the toss and elected to field first.
Middlesex named the following eleven for the match: Robson, Gubbins, Holden, Rayner, White, Lace, Harris, Cullen, Godsal, Walallawita and Bamber. Both Blake Cullen and Ethan Bamber featured, having just won the Under 17 ECB National Final on Sunday.
In gloomy conditions James Harris and Ethan Bamber opened the bowling, and it took just 6.2 overs for Harris to strike, removing opener Brown for just 6, with Robbie White taking the catch behind.
Heavy rain took the players off the field after only 8 overs play, before play resumed, with Bamber soon picking up the wicket of the other Glamorgan opener Selman for 17, with White again taking the catch behind. Glamorgan were 25 for 2.
With the score on 56 White was again called into action, taking a catch behind off Cullen, to remove the visitors' number three for 26.
Morgan and brand then put on 42 before Walallawita became the fourth wicket taker of the day, when Sam Robson took the catch to remove Morgan for a patient 12. 98 for 4!
Ollie Rayner then claimed the final wicket of the day, when he clean bowled brand, who went for a useful 30, and Glamorgan were 102 for 5.
Heavy rain then fell, persistently, leaving the umpires with little option but to call an early halt to proceedings. Only 33 overs play were possible on the opening day.
Fingers crossed for better prospects tomorrow.
