A great week for five of Middlesex's young cricketers, who are all celebrating call-ups to regional sides following some strong on-field performances in recent weeks.
Firstly, following the successful conclusion of this year’s ECB David English Bunbury Festival, Atharva Prasad and Viren Patel, both who represent Middlesex's Elite Player Group, have been selected to represent the South region in the Best of Bunbury match at Loughborough. The match takes place on 27th & 28th August 2018 and pitches the best of the South against the best of the North.
Three more Middlesex youngsters were also celebrating this week, when receiving the news that they have been selected to take part in the Under 17's ECB Super Fours competition, which kicks off next Tuesday at Loughborough.
The week-long competition, which forms part of England Cricket's Young Lions programme, will see Blake Cullen (under 16), Rishi Wijeratne (under 16) and Luke Hollman (under 17) representing Middlesex in the London and East regional side, pitched against regional representative sides from the North, the South West and the Midlands.
