SUSSEX AND GLAMORGAN CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES TO START ON SUNDAYS
Middlesex Cricket is delighted to announce that following concerns raised over the lack of weekend Specsavers County Championship match action in 2019, the club have managed to arrange for two matches to be moved forward a day, ensuring that they will now start on Sundays instead of Mondays.
Conscious of concerns expressed by many members, the club’s new Head Coach, Stuart Law, expressed a strong desire to move both fixtures to weekend starts to ensure that members benefited from more weekend cricket. We are pleased that we have been able to reach this solution.
Firstly, the Middlesex versus Sussex Championship match at Lord's Cricket Ground will now start on Sunday 2nd June and is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday 5th June, and secondly the Middlesex versus Glamorgan Championship match at Radlett Cricket Club will now start on Sunday 16th June with the finish scheduled for Wednesday 19th June.
Middlesex Cricket would like to pass our thanks to both Sussex and Glamorgan for their flexibility in accepting our request to move these fixtures, and also to MCC, Radlett and the ECB for being equally as accommodating to our request.
