Stuart Law Winter Lunch event a huge success in the Lord’s Tavern
Yesterday, one hundred lucky Middlesex members spent an enjoyable few hours in the company of the club’s new Head Coach, Stuart Law, at the first of a brand-new series of members’ events launched by the club this year.
Hosting the event was Middlesex’s own Managing Director of Cricket, Angus Fraser, who conducted an in-depth post-lunch Question and Answer session with Stuart, chatting to the new man at the helm about his hopes for the future of the club under his stewardship. After questions were posed from numerous members around the room, Stuart then spent the remainder of the afternoon chatting and relaxing with members in the Lord’s Tavern.
Angus and Stewart also spent time around the room distributing loyalty lapel badges, which were distributed to long-standing members in attendance.
Roy Simmons, aged 81, who has been a Middlesex member for over forty years, had this to say about attending yesterday’s event:
“This was an excellent event and it’s been really well received by the members. Well done to the club for laying it on.
“I really liked what Stuart Law had to say for himself and I can’t help feeling he’ll be a really positive influence in the Middlesex dressing room.
“I am really honoured and proud to have received my 40 years loyalty badge from the club and will wear it with pride whenever I come to Lord’s. All members have been delighted to be acknowledged in this way.
“I’ve been watching cricket here since 1947 and have been a member since 1973 and have so many fond memories of watching Middlesex.”
The next members’ lunch event in the new calendar of events list is on Friday 12th April at 12.30pm, when for just £15 members can enjoy a two-course buffet lunch with Middlesex players both past and present. Members can also bring guests to this event, with guest tickets priced at £20
