ROB LYNCH TAKES ON CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER’S ROLE AT MIDDLESEX CRICKET

Middlesex Cricket is delighted to announce that Rob Lynch, formerly Commercial Director of the club, has taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect.

Lynch will continue to oversee the club’s commercial operations and will continue to report directly to the club’s Chief Executive, Richard Goatley, who had this to say of Lynch’s appointment as the club’s Chief Operating Officer:

"Since Rob joined us in 2016, he has transformed the club’s commercial operations. We now have major sponsorship deals for each of the club’s three domestic playing kits and, together with the Indian national team, are now the only professional cricket sides to have secured a kit sponsorship deal with Nike - the leading sports clothing brand in the world.

"We’ve also launched Middlesex’s first ever Corporate Cricket Day at Lord’s in 2017 – which has now become the most popular annual event in the club’s commercial calendar, and have successfully launched a number of commercial initiatives, including the new Middlesex Plum Club.

"It’s now right for the club, with our major strategic initiatives such as our new ground proposal and the Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy, that Rob takes on a greater role in the operation of the club. I’m delighted that he’s agreed to accept the role of COO."
