Middlesex’s pre-season preparations see them moving from the Kia Oval, where they will finish a two-day friendly warm-up fixture with London rivals Surrey today, to Northampton’s County Ground tomorrow, where they will begin another two-day warm-up clash.
Two days at Radlett last week, two days in South London this week and two days in Northampton over tomorrow and Wednesday, will see Middlesex’s pre-season campaign all but done, aside of training at Radlett on Friday, ahead of the Bob Willis Trophy starting on Saturday, when Middlesex will return to the Kia Oval to face Surrey in their season opener.
Middlesex Head Coach Stuart Law has named a fifteen-man squad for the trip to Northampton, who will led by club Captain Stephen Eskinazi, and Law will hope that the outing provides another opportunity for his batsmen to spend more time in the middle and for his bowlers to build their workloads, ahead of what is a much shortened, albeit very condensed four-day campaign.
