Middlesex Women’s 2021 domestic campaign will kick-off in the ECB Vitality T20 County competition, regionalised in 2021, with us pitched against our local South East rivals.
The condensed competition will be played over four weeks on a series of ‘triple-header’ matchdays featuring three games at two different venues, with all teams involved every week.
The new competition pairs Middlesex with Surrey, Essex, Kent, and Hampshire, who will each play each other twice between late April and mid-May.
We get our 2021 campaign underway on Sunday 25th April with a trip to the South Coast, where we’ll take on hosts Hampshire and Essex, before we then play our first London derby clash of the summer against capital rivals Surrey the following weekend on bank-holiday Monday, 3rd May, when we’ll also face Kent who will be hosting us.
It’s Kent up again next, at home, along with Hampshire on Sunday 9th May, before the competition concludes the following weekend on Sunday 16th May, with the second London derby against hosts Surrey and the final group clash of the competition against Essex.
Venues are still to be confirmed for all fixtures, with details being announced as soon as they become available.
Dates and fixtures for the 2021 season 50-over London Championship & 20-over London Cup match vs Surrey will be released in the New Year.
Following the completion of the county match programme, the schedule will then see the return of the Elite Domestic Women’s competition and the delayed launch of the Women’s Hundred. Sunrisers and London Spirit regional competition fixtures are scheduled to be announced early in 2021, so watch this space!
