Chance to Shine are offering a brilliant live streamed cricket session every Wednesday, helping to increase support for teachers and parents who are keeping children of all ages active throughout this Lockdown.
Every session is suitable for any age and each week focuses on a new skill, which helps to contribute to improving young children’s fundamental movements whilst helping the older children practice and improve their own ability. Sessions are available to watch afterwards if people are not able to take part when they are live, so there is the opportunity to play throughout the week.
The sessions take place every Wednesday from 2pm-2:45pm, and are accessible at chancetoshine.org/live.
Once you have had a go at the Chance to Shine sessions, go through the Pinky’s Pavilion Online Activity Book that has been put together by the Middlesex Cricket Participation Team. In this document there are a number of games that are favourites amongst the Participation coaches, and can be adapted to any space that you have available. There is a mixture of skill-based games, brain teasers, and traditional family games.
