Middlesex Cricket would like to pass on a huge thanks to the Seaxe Club, who once again, will be donating funds towards the Club's All Stars and Dynamos Cricket programmes.
The two summer cricket projects are entry level recreational programmes for 5-8 year-olds (All Stars) and 9-11 year-olds (Dynamos) who wish to take their first steps into playing cricket and are both brilliant programmes in the Club's desire to boost participation numbers within the county.
Seaxe Club will be donated up to £7,500 to fund bursaries, with £5,000 ring-fenced for the All-Stars programme to fund 125 child placements, and £2,500 ring-fenced for the Dynamos programme to fund a further 100 child placements.
The money donated will be used by the Club to provide bursaries to help families who cannot afford the fees for their children to attend the programmes. In what has been a terrible twelve months for the country, the benefits of youngsters playing cricket, making friends, and enjoying the social interaction that they've all missed out on, this year's All Stars and Dynamos programmes are more crucial than ever.
Our thanks go to the Seaxe Club for their ongoing support and we would urge all members to consider joining the Seaxe, as it offers a great way to meet fellow members and share cricket stories with likeminded friends throughout the season.
