MIDDLESEX V SURREY - DAY ONE MATCH ACTION
All the action from day one at Lord's Cricket Ground where London rivals Middlesex and Surrey went head to head in the County Championship.
Making their First-Class debuts were young spinner Luke Hollman, and newly arrived skipper Peter Handscomb, and it was the latter who won the toss for his new side and duly inserted Surrey to bat on a bright sunny day at the Home of Cricket. It proved to be an inspired decision, as the visitors were promptly dismissed for just 154. It was a day where Tim Murtagh shoe again for the hosts, picking up another 4 wickets, whilst First-Class debutant Hollman picked up a wicket on his maiden appearance
In reply, Middlesex recovered from a shaky start, losing Holden, Gubbins and Handscomb early, to finish the day on 114 for 3 and they'll be looking to build a big first innings lead when they return for day two.
