DAY THREE MATCH ACTION FROM THE OVAL | SURREY V MIDDLESEX
Watch the action from the third day at the Oval where Surrey host Middlesex in the LV= Insurance County Championship.
It was to be Surrey's day, as Middlesex were dismissed for 160 in reply to the hosts' 190, as bowler friendly conditions favoured the hosts throughout the Middlesex innings. John Simpson's fine knock of 68 was the only real highlight for Middlesex, as both Kemar Roach and Jordan Clark shone with the ball for Surrey, picking up four wickets apiece.
After rain showers caused more delays, the sun broke through and bathed the Oval, as Surrey set about building on their lead. Both Mark Stoneman and Rory Burns took full advantage, hitting unbeaten half-centuries, to take the hosts' lead to 165, finishing the day unbeaten in their opening stand of 135.
