Middlesex Cricket can today announce that batsman Nick Gubbins is leaving the Club after eight years at Lord’s.
He will join Hampshire on loan immediately and will stay at the Ageas Bowl for the remainder of the 2021 season, before joining the south coast side permanently.
Gubbins leaves Middlesex having made 152 appearances for the Club across all three formats of the game since making his debut for Middlesex in the 2014 season.
Everyone at Middlesex Cricket wishes Nick every success in his future career.
Angus Fraser, Middlesex Cricket’s Managing Director of Cricket, commented:
“We are obviously disappointed Nick has chosen to leave Middlesex and to miss the opportunity to play a leading role as we witness the emergence of an exciting group of talented local young cricketers.
“We thank him for his time with Middlesex and wish him well.”
