Middlesex have named a squad of fifteen for tomorrow's Royal London Cup clash against Hampshire at Radlett Cricket Club, with just one change made to the fourteen man squad named for the Durham clash earlier this week.
That change sees Stephen Eskinazi added to the squad, as the in-form right hander makes a return to action, having missed the last three weeks, side-lined recovering from the groin injury he picked up in Middlesex's last County Championship outing against Leicestershire at Merchant Taylors' School.
Middlesex head into the clash without a win on the board, having lost out to a strong and experienced Essex side in their opener last Sunday in Chelmsford, before again running out losers on Tuesday to Durham, in desperately unlucky circumstances, as for the third time this season they were undone by the rain, with a DLS revised target coming into play to affect the outcome.
With the weather forecast for tomorrow not looking that dissimilar to Tuesday, Middlesex will be hoping that for once, they could land some good fortune should the weather gods intervene in proceedings.
Hampshire started their own one-day campaign in the same manner as Middlesex, with defeat to Essex, however they bounced back last time out, when beating Sussex to get their first win on the board. They had Nick Gubbins to thank for that win, however with the on-loan Middlesex man unavailable for selection for this encounter, they'll need someone else to step up and take the initiative.
For Middlesex, Peter Handscomb found some form on Tuesday, and spent good time in the middle, as did Robbie White, who added to the 47 he hit in the opener against Essex, with a stylish 55 against Durham. With Eskinazi returning, Middlesex will be hoping that they can turn a corner tomorrow, put runs on the board, and get their campaign up and running.
Middlesex name the following fifteen man squad for tomorrow's clash:
Peer Handscomb (captain)
Martin Andersson
Ethan Bamber
Varun Chopra
Jack Davies
Stephen Eskinazi
Toby Greatwood
James Harris
Max Harris
Max Holden
Luke Hollman
