Middlesex Cricket is today delighted to announce that Stephen Eskinazi has extended his contract with the Club.
The top order batsman, 27, has been in unbelievable form this season in the Vitality Blast, having hit 390 runs at an average of 48.75, to take him into the top three run-scorers in the competition, backing up his form from last summer, when he finished as the second highest scorer in the competition with 413 runs at 41.30.
Eskinazi joined the Club in 2013 and made his first-class debut at the end of the 2015 season against Yorkshire at Lord’s. His T20 debut followed the season after, with his List-A debut coming in 2018. He has since gone on to make 125 appearances in all formats for Middlesex, hitting 4,199 runs for the Club, including six first-class centuries and one T20 century.
Speaking of Eskinazi signing an extension to his terms with Middlesex, Head Coach Stuart Law commented:
“It’s great news for the Club that Steve has signed his contract extension. His white-ball form has been outstanding again this year and I’m looking forward to working with him to continue his improvement in all areas of his game.”
Eskinazi himself commented:
“Middlesex has been my home since 2013 and the Club gave me my first opportunity in the professional game, so I’m absolutely over the moon to repay that faith.
“Scoring runs for this Club and winning games of cricket is something I’ve loved doing from the start and is something I hope to be able to continue to do.”
