Middlesex take on Surrey in game two of the Club's three pre-season red-ball matches at Merchant Taylors' School tomorrow, as we build momentum ahead of the County Championship opener at Lord's on 7th April against Derbyshire.
First Team Coach Richard Johnson has named a twelve-man squad for the clash, which starts at 11am on both days.
Johnson will use this encounter as an opportunity to give those players in the squad who didn't feature against Kent the chance to get some time in the middle and prove their credentials ahead of the three-day match against Essex next week - so he rings the changes and names a very different looking side.
Against Kent, at the coaches request, there was plenty left on the pitch by the ground staff to give the batsmen a real workout, and on the opening day of that clash there was certainly plenty of assistance for the bowlers. He'll be looking to repeat this against Surrey as his batting unit get every opportunity to come to terms with with the tough early season conditions they'll be facing over the coming few weeks.
Spectators are welcome to attend, although facilities for spectators will be limited. Parking is available on Long Lane adjacent to the Merchant Taylors' School ground.
The Club will be producing an enhanced live stream of the clash, using three manned broadcast cameras alongside other fixed camera positions, with full commentary, so if you're unable to get to Northwood to watch the game, be sure to tune in and watch all the action on the Club's YouTube channel, or via the Club's website in the match centre.
BBC London's Kevin Hand will be heading up the live stream commentary team, and he'll be joined by several guests throughout the match to keep viewers entertained and informed of latest goings on within and around the Club.
Middlesex's twelve man squad is as follows:
Ethan Bamber
Joe Cracknell
Blake Cullen
Jack Davies
Toby Greatwood
