Middlesex have named a thirteen-man squad to face Somerset tomorrow night in the final home clash of this year's Vitality Blast campaign.
Two more matches remain for Middlesex before they can draw a line under and move on from what has been a disappointing 2022 Blast campaign, the first of which sees Somerset visiting Lord's tomorrow night, followed by an away trip to Bristol on Sunday to finish proceedings against Gloucestershire. Middlesex will be looking to restore some pride in these last two matches after a campaign that has seen them struggle to find any consistency throughout.
Somerset will prove to be stiff opposition tomorrow night, as they come to Lord's as the South Group's second best placed side, having won eight and lost just four of the twelve group games they've played. That record puts them on 16 points and within touching distance of qualification for the knockout stages of the Blast, which they'll be hoping to secure tomorrow night. Anything other than a loss would see Somerset secure progress to the quarter finals, whilst for Middlesex it's all about restoring pride and finishing strong.
Currently lying in seventh place in the Group, a couple of wins for Middlesex to close their campaign down could see them finish in mid table, with some respectability restored.
Middlesex have named the following thirteen man squad for tomorrow's floodlit encounter:
Stephen Eskinazi (Captain)
Jason Behrendorff
Joe Cracknell
Jack Davies
Josh De Caires
Toby Greatwood
Chris Green
Max Harris
Tom Helm
Max Holden
Luke Hollman
John Simpson (wicket-keeper)
Thilan Walallawita
Anyone not attending the game tomorrow night in person can watch Middlesex's live and enhanced live stream broadcast of the match from Lord's, available via the match centre on the Middlesex website, or direct on Middlesex's YouTube channel from approximately 6.05pm tomorrow.
