MATCH INFORMATION | MIDDLESEX V SUSSEX | LV= INSURANCE COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP | TUES 19 JULY TO FRI 22 JULY AT LORD'S

Middlesex take on Sussex in the LV= Insurance County Championship at Lord's this week, in a four-day clash starting on Tuesday 19th July.

If you're attending the match, please see below all the information you'll need ahead of your visit.

Hot Weather Provisions:

With the Met Office forecasting that temperatures in London will hit close to 40 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, certain provisions have been made to assist spectators in the hot weather.

On day one of the match against Sussex, please take note of the following:

• MCC has advised us that the dress regulations in the Pavilion will be relaxed on Tuesday 19 July. Gentlemen in the Pavilion that day will not be required to wear a jacket, although MCC will still require Gentlemen to wear ties. Spectators should also adhere to the usual dress regulations on trousers and shoes, as stipulated below.
• The scheduled mid-season members' forum, due to be held after close of play on Tuesday in the Middlesex Room has been postponed due to the extreme weather and has been rearranged for Wednesday 20th July. All other details remain the same.
• For any ladies attending the fixture on Tuesday, the scheduled ladies' social coffee event will still be taking place in the Middlesex Room from 10.30am. The Club will also be arranging another similar event in September to ensure that those deciding not to travel will still be able to enjoy the event. Details of this additional event will be published when finalised.
• Because of the extreme temperatures, we advise all spectators to bring a bottle of water with them, to remain hydrated at all times. There are refill points around the ground, where you can replenish your water with fresh chilled water at any time. We would also recommend that spectators bring suitable headwear with them, look to spend time in the shade as much as possible, and wear sunscreen at all times.

Match Admission and Tickets:

Middlesex members have full access to all the members’ facilities throughout this fixture and simply need to produce their valid 2022 membership card at the entrance gates to gain admission at the ground.

Non-members looking to attend the fixture need to be aware that tickets are only available to purchase on-line. Please visit tickets.lords.org to purchase your e-ticket – these can be bought on the day via the website - there are no ticket sales point open at the gates. Tickets will be sold online even on the day of the fixture.

In the event that spectators are not able to purchase on-line, then tickets can also be purchased over the phone via 0207 432 1000, also available on the day.

Middlesex members in possession of a 2022 Season Guest Pass can also use this over the duration of the game at Lord's. Members are reminded that Guest Passes may only be used if the Guest attending is also in the presence of the Member who own the Guest Pass. The bearer of the Guest Pass, if in the presence of the Member, will also gain free admission to the ground on production of the Season Guest Pass.

Match Information & Timings:

• Each Day’s play is scheduled to commence at 11am
• The Lunch interval is scheduled to be taken at 1pm
• The Tea interval is scheduled to be taken at 3.40pm
• End of play is scheduled for 6pm

Tomorrow’s Middlesex v Sussex match will be played on the Grandstand side of the square, with the following stands open for spectating:

Members:

• Pavilion (+ one Guest)
• Warner Stand (+ two Guests)
• Upper Allen Stand (+ 2 Guests)
• Lower Allen Stand, including Middlesex Room (+ 2 Guests)

Public stands:

• Grandstand lower tier
• Compton Stand – level One
• Compton Stand - level three

Catering facilities will be available around the ground throughout the match, with details of all outlets available as follows:

• Pavilion – Long Room Bar, Bowlers’ Bar, Members’ Bar, Members' Lounge (days 1 & 2), Old Library (days 1 & 2), North Turret (days 1 & 2)

Available at each of the following areas and will close 30 mins after the close of play unless otherwise stated:

Accessibility:

Assistance Dogs: Spectators who are accompanied by assistance dogs will be admitted to the stand or which they have a ticket. If there is limited space for the dog ta different seat of equivalent quality will be offered, with more space for the dog to rest. Dogs will be offered a blanket to lie on and water bowl (available from the Head Steward’s Office).

Audio-Description: Complimentary audio-description earpieces for blind or visually impaired spectators are available from the Head Steward’s Office.

Multi-Faith Reflection Rooms:

There are two multi-faith reflection rooms located at:

• Pavilion Basement
• Edrich Stand, near entrance 1

A reminder of Lord's Dress Code in Members' Areas:

All members are reminded of the dress codes that apply in members' areas of the ground...

Pavilion: A formal standard of dress applies in the Pavilion at all times (with the exception of day one, 19 Jul 2022, as stated above). Members, guests and visitors are required to observe it.

• Gentlemen - Tailored jacket or blazer; collared shirt that is tucked into tailored trousers, chinos, corduroys or moleskin trousers; a tie or cravat; and formal shoes with socks which cover the ankle.
• Ladies - Dress, skirt or tailored trousers with a top or blouse, or other clothing that is appropriately formal. Formal shoes, boots or sandals must be worn.
• For all visitors, religious, traditional and national dress, or service uniform, is permitted.

Members & Friends enclosures: The minimum standard of dress to enter the Members’ Friends’ Enclosures is “smart casual” for both sexes. Jackets are not required. For Gentlemen, shirts without a collar are acceptable on non-international days. Shorts and trousers must be tailored, although denim is acceptable.
