A brilliant double hundred from India's Cheteshwar Pujara was the standout performance of the day, although Tom Helm's 5 for 109 saw him stand out as the pick of the Middlesex bowlers. In reply to Sussex's 523 all out, an unbeaten opening stand of 103 between Sam Robson and Mark Stoneman kept Middlesex very much in the contest and looking to build on that start on day three.
