TOM HELM CALLED UP TO ENGLAND IT20 SQUAD FOR PAKISTAN SERIES

TOM HELM NAMED IN ENGLAND INTERNATIONAL T20 SQUAD FOR SEVEN MATCH SERIES IN PAKISTAN

We are thrilled to announce that seamer Tom Helm has been called up to the England International T20 squad to tour Pakistan this month for the seven match IT20 series.

Today, England Men's selection panel named squads for both the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia starting in October and the preceding seven-match tour of Pakistan, which gets underway later this month in Karachi, with Helm named in the Pakistan touring squad.

Helm has spent the month of August with his Hundred franchise, Birmingham Phoenix, and finished the group stages as the competition's joint leading wicket taker, with fourteen wickets taken at just 14.07.

England captain Jos Buttler, recovering from a calf injury, will tour Pakistan, but he is expected to be available to play during the latter stages of the seven-match series. In Buttler's absence, Moeen Ali will captain the side.

Fiver uncapped players have been announced for the first tour to Pakistan since 2005. Kent batter Jordan Cox is joined alongside Middlesex seamer Tom Helm, Surrey right-handed bat Will Jacks, Warwickshire quick Olly Stone and Lancashire seamer Luke Wood.
