We regret to announce that there will be no possibility of play on day two of our pre-season fixture against Kent.
As a result, the fixture at Old Merchant Taylors’ Cricket Club has been abandoned and there will be no play tomorrow either.
Due to persistent rainfall overnight and this morning, the ground is saturated and the umpires along with the groundstaff have deemed the ground to be unfit.
Middlesex’s men will be in action next week, when there will be an intra-club fixture at Merchant Taylors’ School on Monday and Tuesday before they travel to the Kia Oval to take on Surrey in a three-day game from Thursday.
