Middlesex have named an unchanged squad of 14 for our upcoming LV= Insurance County Championship clash against Nottinghamshire which gets underway at Lord’s tomorrow.
Having come out on the wrong side of our opening two matches against Essex and Northamptonshire, in two low-scoring encounters, the team will be looking to bounce back and record its first win of the campaign this week.
Our visitors come into the match having won last week against Somerset by 165 runs in a low-scoring clash at Trent Bridge. With the ball, Brett Hutton took 6/45 in Somerset’s first innings and Dane Patterson claimed 5/46 in the second.
Middlesex and Nottinghamshire met twice last year in Division Two and drew both games, with both sides ultimately earning promotion into the top flight, Nottinghamshire as Champions, Middlesex as runners-up. Sam Robson scored a century at both Lord’s and Trent Bridge, while Mark Stoneman also scored a hundred in Nottingham - What Middlesex would do for a repeat of those innings here at Lord’s this week?
