Yesterday, Middlesex Cricket’s Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Cornish, and Director of Cricket, Alan Coleman, returned from Pakistan where they met representatives of the Pakistan Cricket Board earlier this week and signed an MoU, with a shared commitment to investigate a number of jointly beneficial ventures between both organisations.
The highlights of the partnership will see both parties exploring the potential to jointly launch a T10 League and Women’s PSL, develop regional academies, host exhibition matches, develop the Women’s game, foster links with player pathways, and create mutually beneficial commercial tie ups.
On confirming the signing of this ground-breaking MoU, Cornish commented:
“I would firstly like to extend my warmest appreciation to the Chair of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mr Zaka Ashraf, and his Board colleagues for their hospitality this week.
“There is enormous potential for this partnership to make a huge difference to both organisations, and we are hopeful that over the coming weeks and months we can reach agreement with the PCB in a number of areas and move forwards.”
