Recently, we announced the award winners in each of the nine Middlesex grassroots volunteer award categories, with the winners then progressing through to the ECB's national Grassroots Cricket Collective awards, which have now been announced over the past week.
The annual awards recognise the efforts and achievements of volunteers within the game, across the country, who have gone above and beyond in making a difference to the game.
Without these volunteers the game would simply not exist and the awards recognise the dedication and commitment of those who make the game what it is.
We are thrilled to announce that four of Middlesex's award winners received recognition at the national awards.
Firstly, Natalie Raja of Bushy Park Girls Cricket Club was named as the national winner of the Inspired to Play category, an award presented to an individual or group within your club or community organisation going above and beyond to #raisethegame and open the game up to new audiences. Congratulations to Natalia on winning this prestigious national award.
Three other Middlesex award winners were also recognised at the national awards, by being highly commended for their efforts. Congratulations to Graces Cricket Club, highly commended in the Connecting Communities category, which recognises a club or community organisation which has gone above and beyond to #raisethegame and support communities/groups, to Stephanie Reingold of Stanmore Cricket Club, highly commended in the Unsung Hero category, which recognises those heroes who impact our game from behind-the-scenes and help us make cricket happen, and finally to Lara van Gelder of Teddington Cricket Club, highly commended in the SafeHands Award category, which recognises an individual that has gone above and beyond to create a positive and inclusive environment for young people to enjoy the game.
Congratulations to all four Middlesex winners on their deserved recognition at the ECB's annual awards.
