Middlesex Cricket held its latest Walk | Talk | Connect event this morning as members joined staff for a jaunt from Croxley Station to Merchant Taylors’ School.
Around 30 members took part in the walk, where they were able to talk about all things Middlesex before watching the Men’s First Eleven train at the new Julian Hill Cricket Centre as the new season approaches.
In addition to watching the squad train, members and their guests visited the marquee where the players will ramp up preparations from early March, and also the new net facility next to the school's pavilion which will replicate the Lord's slope.
This was the first walk to be held in 2024, after a number took place last year right across north London – covering Hampstead, Highgate Woods, Regents Park and a venture south prior to a County Championship matchday at the Kia Oval.
These walks were launched for 2023 to allow members and their guests to meet new and familiar faces, do some exercise, and talk about cricket.
Members should keep an eye out for future dates and can find details of other member events HERE.
