Middlesex in The community, the charitable arm of Middlesex Cricket is excited to announce in partnership with MAEL GAEL Community group & Southall Community Alliance that the Club will be hosting the “Community Cricket Dhamaka", a perfect day out for family and friends on Saturday 15th June 2024 at Norwood Hall fields.
The Community Cricket Dhamaka (blast) festival will be a celebration of the diverse South Asian culture that the county comprises, and a host of cultural entertainment will be laid on for the community to enjoy before tucking into some scrumptious traditional refreshments provided for free thanks to our partners MAEL GAEL Community group.
The festival kicks off at 12.00pm with entertainment beginning immediately, in the form of traditional dancing “Bhangra” and the sounds of the sub-continent with Dhol drummer, local legend “Jaggi Dholi”.
Young children can also take part in a host of activities at Middlesex’s interactive youth fun zone, Pinky’s Pavilion, where they’ll be able to play games, practice their cricket skills, and take part in a host of other activities. There will also be free face painters, henna tattooists, Arts & Crafts workshop, and a community quiz with a chance to win prizes courtesy of our partners Southall Community Alliance. If that’s not enough, then we also have “Zumba with Zafira” and Walking Cricket– plenty of fun for all the family to get involved in. Pop over to say hello and take your picture with our Mascot “Pinky the Panther”.
Panjab Radio will be broadcasting live from the festival so pop over to them and let the world know how much fun you’re having.
Don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets to have a chance to win tickets to watch Middlesex CCC play T20 at the Home of Cricket, plus many more prizes to be won. All proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets will go towards supporting the ongoing community projects Middlesex in The Community are delivering in the community.
Middlesex Cricket would like to thank our event partners MAEL GAEL Community group, Southall Community Alliance, and Panjab Radio for their support.
We look forward to seeing you at the Middlesex Community Cricket Dhamaka Festival.
