SCHOOLS CRICKET ASSOCIATION OF MIDDLESEX (SCAM) U13 GIRLS FINAL | MATCH REPORT

A classy Notting Hill and Ealing High School (NHEHS) won the Schools Cricket Association of Middlesex U13 Girls Cup when they defeated Lady Eleanor Holles School (LEHS) by 50 runs on Monday 1 July 2024. The final, which was played at Boddington Gardens Sports Ground in Ealing, was dominated by NHEHS, who scored 156-1 in their 20 overs. The total was built around a magnificent unbeaten 118 runs partnership between Nishka Patel and Romilly Claxton, who scored 56 and 39 not out respectively. Both batters played beautifully.

LEHS tried their best to chase down the sizeable target but were never able to keep up with the required run-rate, losing regular wickets whilst attempting to do so. Lana Ghandhi and Suhanna Chahal were the pick of the NHEHS bowlers, taking two wickets each as LEHS were dismissed for 106. The taking of the final wicket caused huge celebration amongst the NHEHS players who thoroughly enjoyed the moment, and collecting the trophy from Angus Fraser, the Managing Director of Middlesex in the Community.

Middlesex in the Community would like to thank the staff of both schools, and everyone in the Girls U13 competition for their commitment to this important competition
