Middlesex’s women commemorated the end of the 2024 league cricket season in style on Friday evening when the Middlesex Women’s Cricket League (MWCL) held its awards evening at Ealing Cricket Club. The evening brought an end to what has been an extremely successful summer for women’s teams in Middlesex. Along with the winning of trophies in the MWCL Middlesex’s women also had significant success in National competitions. As reported previously here Gunnersbury 1st XI won the Women’s Cricket Southern League (WCSL) and the ECB’s Women’s Club Cup T20 National Final, whilst Ickenham created an opportunity to potentially play in the WCSL by winning the Southern Counties Cup.
Listed below are the winners of the three Middlesex leagues – Esme Irwin, Sheila Hill and Derick Morgan - and the star performers in each of the leagues.
