IRELAND QUICK JOSH LITTLE JOINS MIDDLESEX FOR 2025

IRELAND QUICK JOSH LITTLE TO JOIN MIDDLESEX CRICKET IN 2025

Middlesex Cricket can today announce that left-arm Ireland international quick, Josh Little, will join the Club in the 2025 season, subject to Cricket Ireland issuing a No Objection Certificate and around his international and Irish domestic commitments.

Dublin-born Little, 25, will primarily feature for Middlesex in this season’s Vitality Blast campaign, although is available to represent the Club in other formats if required.

The left-arm quick has a wealth of experience of playing in some of the biggest franchise competitions around the world, having represented Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League, Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League, Pretoria Capitals in the SA20, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the ILT20, LA Knight Riders in Major League Cricket, the Dambulla Giants in the Lanka Premier League, and closer to home, both Manchester Originals and Welsh Fire in the Hundred.

On the International stage he has represented his country in both ODI and T20I formats, playing 39 ODI’s and 71 T20 Internationals. He has taken 139 international wickets across both white-ball formats, with best bowling figures of 6 for 36 in an ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare on Ireland’s winter tour in December 2023.

He made an immediate impact for Ireland on the international stage, taking 4 for 45 on his ODI debut against England in Dublin, and has featured for his country in three T20I World Cups.

This summer will see him make his debut in the Vitality Blast for Middlesex, one of the only major global T20 tournaments he has yet to feature in.

Speaking of Josh Little joining Middlesex for this year’s Blast campaign, Alan Coleman, Director of Cricket for Middlesex, commented:

“To secure a player of Josh’s T20 experience and proven ability is huge for us, as he has performed at the highest level of white-ball cricket around the world for the last few years.

“He brings something different to our attack. He’s got genuine pace, is a left-armer, which in itself poses problems for batters, has a fierce short ball, and has skills that make him perfect for bowling both at the top and in the death overs of an innings.

“We can’t wait to welcome Josh to the Club and look forward to unleashing him on the Blast this summer.

Josh Little himself, on signing for Middlesex, commented:

“It’s an honour and a privilege to have the opportunity to be part of Middlesex, one of the most prestigious cricket clubs in our game.

“I can’t wait to meet everyone, see some familiar faces, and put in the hard yards both on and off the field.

“I’d like to thank Middlesex for putting their trust in me, and I’m thoroughly looking forward to what’s to come.

“The opportunity to play at Lord’s is hugely exciting and I can’t wait to get going.”
