JOIN MIDDLESEX CRICKET'S FACILITY ADVISORY GROUP: LEND YOUR EXPERTISE TO SHAPE THE FUTURE OF CLUB FACILITIES

The Facility Advisory Group is a panel that supports the growth and sustainability of grassroots clubs in Middlesex. They play an important, behind-the-scenes role—reviewing CGF funding applications, advising on infrastructure development, and helping clubs overcome facility-based challenges. Now, this dedicated group is inviting two more individuals to join them in shaping the future of club cricket in the county.

Operating as a non-executive panel, the group meets approximately eight times a year—more frequently (every 4–6 weeks) during the initial part of the financial cycle (starting February).

The group assesses County Grant Fund (CGF) applications, challenges proposals to ensure robustness, and makes impartial recommendations to executive officers. Their work ensures that public and private investment is directed where it can make the greatest impact.

So far, the group has already allocated 40% of the county’s CGF budget—supporting clubs that have worked closely with Middlesex’s Community Partnership Managers. Their influence is significant, and their guidance is both practical and strategic.

But this is more than just grants. The Advisory Group help implement parts of Middlesex Cricket’s long-term Vision, Mission, and Facilities Strategy to protect the game now and invest in its future. They help prioritise club needs, support community-driven facility development, and promote fair, transparent decision-making processes.

The group currently comprises 10 committed individuals (four who are in executive roles within MITC or ECB, and six volunteers with experience within recreational cricket in Middlesex) from a range of backgrounds and personal professional experiences. The group has space for two more panel members, and we are now actively seeking new voices—particularly those with skills in:

If you bring expertise from these or similar sectors and want to make a lasting impact on the cricketing community, this is your opportunity.

The role is voluntary, but the impact is real. You’ll be joining a collaborative team, offering sage advice, and playing a pivotal role in ensuring club facilities across Middlesex are fit for the future.

Interested in joining the Facility Advisory Panel Group? We’d love to hear from you.

Please email [email protected] with a short introduction to yourself, your skills, and your impact you can bring to the group. Interest will be reviewed by the panel, and we will communicate as efficiently as possible in response. This group will aim to be representative of the community that reside and play cricket in Middlesex.
