BOARD POSTITION UP FOR ELECTION AT 2025 AGM

BOARD POSITION UP FOR ELECTION AT 2025 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

AGM - The 161st Annual General Meeting of Middlesex CCC will be held on Thursday 10 April in the Thomas Lord Suite at Lord’s at 6pm. The agenda and 2023 - 2024 audited accounts will be sent to Members with their 2025 Membership cards in March.

One position of Member elected Director is up for election. The current incumbent, Mike Gatting, is not able to stand for re-election since, as per the Club rules, he has now completed the maximum three consecutive full terms on the Board.

We welcome nominations from the membership for this position. Ideally the Board needs someone with similar skills that Mike was able to offer, so we would particularly encourage members with relevant professional cricketer experience to stand for election.

If you wish to stand for election, please email [email protected] or write to Andrew Cornish, Chief Executive, Middlesex Cricket, Lord’s Cricket Ground, London, NW8 8QN for further information on what is required, by no later than 24 January 2025. All nominees will be required to complete an ‘Fit and Proper Person’ declaration form, which would also need to be signed by two current Voting Members as their proposer and seconder and received by the Club via [email protected] no later than 31st January 2025.

  5. Keep the Club true to its purpose and vision

The members of the Board comprise:

  1. Chair

  3. 2 x Nominated elected Directors (IndividualMembers of Middlesex Cricket, nominated and voted by Affiliated Middlesex Clubs)
  4. A maximum of 4 x Appointed Directors (Individual Members of the Club, appointed by the Board)

The Board is required to ensure that the composition of the Board is suitably diverse, both in terms of gender and ethnicity as well as in terms of skill sets.

In addition, the Board Director will:

  5. In line with our general ethos towards equity, diversity and inclusion, and in line with guidelines issued by The ECB regarding the constitution of County Boards, the Club encourages applications that provide the diversity of gender and ethnicity that will provide a foundation for sustained progress.
